Garry Texeira - Director

Garry began singing at age 12 and has been singing for almost 30 years. He was voted Most Outstanding Vocalist during his senior year at West Covina High School in California and was honored with a Bank of America achievement award. Garry started his barbershop obsession with the Pasadena Chapter of BHS, in 1980. Then in 1985, he had the privilege of being involved in the chartering of what is now the seven-time International Champion Chorus, The Masters Of Harmony. Garry won six of those championships with them and was an integral part of their music team.

Garry has coached and mentored many quartets and choruses over the years. He has also sung in many quartets himself over the years, including TKO, which recently placed 17th at the 2009 International Contest and won the JAD Quartet Championship in 2007. Most notably though, starting in 1996, Garry became the Tenor of Gotcha!, which many considered a very powerful quartet. Gotcha! moved up the ranks in the BHS International Contest, becoming a Silver Medalist in 2003. Then in 2004, they won the coveted International Quartet Gold Medal. Garry has traveled to almost all 50 states, including Alaska and Hawaii. He also had the honor of traveling to Ireland, Russia, Canada and Australia, to spread the word of this wonderful musical art form we call barbershop.

After Gotcha! retired in 2006, Garry moved to Indianapolis with his beautiful wife Ashley and works as a Senior Loan Officer. They were blessed with their son Dawson on June 3, 2009. Garry brings a wealth of knowledge and even more enthusiasm to Circle City Sound. We are proud to welcome Garry Texeira as our new Director.

Andrew Myer - Assistant Director

Andrew's musical career began with the Purdue Varsity Glee Club where he won the Griffin award for excellence.  He left Indiana for the Philadelphia area where he started his barbershop career with the Lansdale North Pennsmen and ultimately the assistant director of the Princeton Garden Statesmen.  While in the Mid-Atlantic District, he was the lead for the Atlantic division quartet champion Sound Barrier.

Andrew and his wife Brooke have just recently moved back to the Indianapolis area, and in his "real" life, Andrew is actually a rocket scientist.
